ViraWarn unveiled a revolutionary breath analyser that can detect COVID-19 in 60 seconds
ViraWarn is a pocket-sized breath analyzer that can detect COVID-19, RSV and influenza in under 60 seconds using artificial intelligence (AI). Users simply blow into the device twice and receive a positive or negative result through a red or green LED light. The device, awaiting FDA approval, is reusable and will cost around $99, with cartridge replacements costing a few dollars each, making it an affordable option for regular tests.
Abys revealed Digital Twin technology that transforms surgery planning and execution
France-based Abys Medical displayed technology that can create Digital Twin, a digital replica of the patient, to help surgeons plan operations more precisely, reducing the time and risk involved. The digital twin is created using various medical scans and other patient data. Surgeons can use mixed reality headsets to access the patient’s digital twin in the operating room.
NOWATCH showed off the world’s first ‘awareable’
NOWATCH developed the world’s first ‘awareable’, a screenless designer watch and app that helps users improve their physical and mental health through bio-tracking and mindfulness. Developed to help users predict stress, improve sleep and live healthier and balanced lives, it monitors various health metrics and provides personalised feedback and guidance.
Meta-Running’s AI posture analysis can transform your running
Meta-Running is an easy-to-use tool that helps runners improve their technique and reduce the risk of injury using AI and mobile cameras. The technology works by analysing the user’s body movements as they run, providing real-time feedback on any necessary changes to their posture. Valencell’s fingertip blood pressure monitor is a first-of-its-kind cuffless device that uses patented biometric sensor technology and deep learning to measure blood pressure from your fingertip. The device’s key technology is an algorithm that can measure BP patterns by analysing its data set on a fingertip device. The device is awaiting FDA approval and is expected to be available in the US in late 2023 for $99.
Arterya revealed its Blood’Up device that bids goodbye to painful artery sampling
Arterya’s Blood’Up is a medical device that allows painless artery sampling for blood gas analysis. Existing arterial blood gas analysis methods can be stressful for both patients and doctors, and around 30% of the 12 million blood gas recipients in France fail in artery sampling, leading to loss of money and time. Blood’Up addresses this issue and makes the process of blood gas analysis less stressful and more efficient.

Hanyang University showed off its AI-powered eye healthcare device prototype
EyeFit is an eye health management device that uses machine vision and AI technology for accurate analysis of eye movements to improve eye health. It provides patient-specific data and management options through a mobile device, improving the accuracy and accessibility of eye care. With a 98% accuracy rate, it is developed via a self-developed machine-learning system and machine vision hardware.
Candibell revealed its Toothbrush connected oral care system
Toothbrush is the world’s first multi-tenant, fully automatic and universal solution for seamless toothbrush tracking, with embedded social networking for improved personal performance. The system attaches to any toothbrush, passively mapping the brushing routine and transmitting the data to a hub connecting every tracker in a household. The accompanying app allows users to view their brushing habits, set goals and create friend groups to share progress and motivation. It also allows parents to monitor their children’s brushing.
iMediSync unveiled its intelligent headset that predicts cognitive health risks in just 10 minutes
iSyncWave is a headset developed by iMediSync that uses AI and EEG to predict the risk of cognitive issues, such as Alzheimer’s disease, within 10 minutes. Like the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter series, the device sits atop the head and performs a quick analysis to provide diagnostic results.
