Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS), India’s flagship technology event, is going to be held from 16th Nov to 18th Nov 2022 at the historic Bangalore Palace. Organised by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), BTS is recognized as Asia’s largest technology event.
Started in 1998 by GoK, Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 is its 25th edition and will be inaugurated by Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi. Karnataka CM Basavaraja Bommai will unveil the Silver Jubilee Commemoration Plaque of BTS 2022. With the central theme—Tech4NexGen—the flagship event will witness the coming together of global tech leaders, eminent Indian corporates and young startups to forge partnerships and collaboration in the growing tech space.
About Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022
Karnataka Government organises BTS every year to encourage and celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation in the ever-growing tech sector. The event has seen the presence of high-profile dignitaries, Nobel laureates, leaders of the World Economic Forum, and tech evangelists from across the globe.
After two years of virtual summits, BTS 2022 is in complete physical format and is expecting over 50000 visitors. It aims to provide a platform for startups to share their vision for future disruptive technologies, interest investors and build partnerships and collaboration.
The multi-track event has five parallel tracks covering ITE and Deep Tech, Startup, BioTech, and a range of other topics.

The summit will also feature a ‘Lab2Market’ display of India’s premier R&D institutes, technology institutes and more.
Global Innovation Alliance (GIA)
Technology and diplomatic heads from partner countries like France, Denmark, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and 12 others will attend BTS 2022 and conduct sessions. GIA, an initiative of GoK, will observe ministerial delegations holding B2B and G2G meetings to explore avenues for collaboration and growth.
India-US Conclave
The world’s largest democracies, India and the US, will closely engage to contribute to the overall development of the country. They will expand strategic collaborations between India and US tech companies and emerging domains. It is the first time India-US Conclave will be held in a physical format.
Felicitation and awards
GoK will felicitate 35 companies from ITE and BioTech who have completed 25+ years of service in Bengaluru.
Prominent awards like the STPI IT Export Awards, SmartBio Awards and Bengaluru Impact Awards will reward and recognise startups and companies in the tech space.
Technology quizzes
Flagship BTS quizzes like the TCS Rural IT Quiz and BioQuiz will be conducted to spread awareness among students and keep them abreast with the latest tech developments in the field. The Summit will also witness the inauguration of the interactive Science Gallery Bengaluru, which aims to bring Science back into Culture.
Bio Poster Session
This will allow young researchers to showcase their talents, innovative ideas, outstanding research and groundbreaking studies and its potential in the Biotechnology and Life sciences to delegates gathered from across the world. Selected posters will also stand a chance to win prize money of up to Rs. 20,000.
